What We Offer
Individual Therapy in Malibu
At LifeSync Malibu Healing Center we provide intensive one on one therapy sessions at least twice a week. You will also meet individually with our counselling team between 2-4 times per week as well. Our individual sessions are focused on addressing the important issues and getting you back on track.
Upon arrival, we will begin the process of getting to know you and the story of your life. We will obtain a timeline of all the important events in your life and build a relationship based on trust, integrity, love and honesty. During your time with us, you will have the opportunity to take a look at the areas of your life where you have struggled and start taking steps to champion these issues. We have a dynamic approach that uses an integration of most of the major schools of psychology and psychiatry. In these sessions, you will experience lasting breakthroughs for your recovery!
Our Premium Services
Group Therapy in Malibu
Our group sessions cover a wide variety of important topics for recovery.
The core of our program is based on the dialectic behavioral therapy model for recovery. These groups are run by our primary therapist and are the basis for helping you get better.
We have a number of other groups from Rock to Recovery, Relapse Prevention, Psychodrama, and numerous other experiential offerings that we will cover based on your specific needs as well as the needs of other residents.
We know that the opioid epidemic is tragically killing thousands of people needlessly every year and Dr. Booth wants to make sure that we do our part in preventing as many of these deaths as possible. This is why we offer a weekly Narcan Training Course. Every client will understand how to identify the signs of an overdose and effectively give Narcan to that person. If you have an opioid problem, we want you to leave with Narcan and to know how to treat an overdose and save someone’s life!
All group therapy sessions are highly confidential and led by experienced moderators who are licensed and have specialized knowledge and expertise in their areas of focus.
At LifeSync Malibu Healing Center, we bring in outside moderators to team up with our in-house clinical team. This allows us to provide you with a fresh, vibrant and effective group dynamic that leads to growth and change as you navigate through your treatment experience.
You will start to lose the feeling of being alone and start to develop meaningful relationships with others for the first time in a long, long time. We strive to ensure that your voice is heard and you are accepted without judgment. We want to ensure that the hurts, fears, aches and pains of your past heal and get better!
Our Program
Family Therapy in Malibu
Family Therapy is another powerful intervention for the recovering addict or alcoholic. We realize that addiction and alcoholism does not happen in a vacuum and often-times, the most challenging relationships are within the family. At LifeSync Malibu Healing Center, we know that healing from your wounds often involves and is aided by family healing.
We will work with you to develop a comprehensive plan for family engagement and healing. In many cases, we see families reunite and develop strong bonds of healing. In other cases, certain family members are engaged in active substance use or other toxic behaviors. If this is your situation, we will help you develop healthy boundaries so that you can stay sober and get better.
In short, LifeSync Malibu Healing Center offers a wide variety of proven therapeutic interventions for every client that comes in. Each client treatment plan is developed by Dr. Booth in order to provide the maximum amount of psychoeducation, relapse prevention, addiction medicine and healing in order to ensure the highest degree of personal growth and long-term sobriety.
